Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a client in Grapevine, TX. This is a full-time, direct hire position. The role is 100% onsite. Candidates bilingual in English/Mandarin or English/Spanish is a plus.
The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the organization's accounting and financial reporting functions, including month-end close activities, financial analysis, budget preparation, account reconciliations, and cost reporting. This role ensures accurate financial records, compliance with accounting standards, and timely reporting to support business operations and management decision-making. The Staff Accountant also assists with accounts payable, accounts receivable, audits, tax documentation, and special projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Accounting, Financial Reporting & Analysis (85%)
- Analyze monthly cost allocations and identify trends in cost components to support management decision-making.
- Perform month-end close activities, including accruals, journal entries, and preparation of financial statement packages in accordance with established closing schedules.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and supporting documentation on a monthly basis.
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries while ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Support accounting entries and review transactions for accuracy and completeness.
- Research and assist with accounting treatment and reporting requirements under U.S. GAAP and IFRS, coordinating with the Taiwan headquarters as needed.
- Review periodic payment reports and coordinate with Treasury to ensure timely disbursement of funds.
- Assist with tax-related documentation and filings in coordination with management and external advisors.
- Prepare schedules, reports, and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
- Maintain accurate financial records, reports, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
- Participate in special projects and perform additional accounting-related duties as assigned.
- Ensure all assigned work is completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional departments and maintain strong internal relationships.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or similarly sized organization.
- Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting required.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Mandarin is a plus.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
- Understanding of U.S. GAAP; exposure to IFRS is preferred.
- Experience using SAP and other accounting or ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
